The granddaughter of film producer Dino De Laurentiis, TV personality Giada De Laurentiis studied at Paris' renowned Le Cordon Bleu before becoming working as a chef in several upscale Los Angeles restaurants. In 2003, she began hosting Everyday Italian, a cooking show on The Food Network that quickly became one of the cable channel's most popular programs. In 2005, in addition to Everyday Italian, De Laurentiis began hosting a second Food Network Show called Behind the Bash, which covered event catering. De Laurentiis frequently apepars on other Food Network shows, including working as a judge and mentor on The Next Food Network Star. In addition to her Food Network gigs, De Laurentiis also appears regularly on NBC's Today and has published several instructional cooking books.
