Berenson began her career as a highly successful model, then began appearing in movies in the early '70s. A member of the international jet set, she is the grandniece of Bernard Berenson, the famed art historian and collector; her mother is the Marchesa Cicciapouti di Guilliano, through a second marriage; her grandmother was noted couturiere Elsa Schiaparelli.
