Completed his schooling in Germany along with learning theatre.
Had met his first wife Helga at a play and they had two daughters, Monique and Nicole, and a son.
Handed over his three children to an American couple after his wife Helga died in a car accident.
Moved to Vietnam on an army assignment where he had to destroy buried mines.
Was inspired by an article about Bollywood star Parveen Babi in Time Magazine, which led him to Bombay for a Bollywood career.

Had his autobiography 'Flashback: My Life and Times in Bollywood and Beyond' released after his demise.
