Harry Carter is a general purpose actor who began his film career around 1942. Carter spent most of his time at 20th Century-Fox, playing reporters, clerks, elevator operators and stage managers. Among his few "named" characters were Captain Sandoval in Captain from Castile (1947) and Ned Tyler in Lure of the Wilderness (1952). Harry Carter remained active until 1959, playing bits in such Fox releases as The Fly and Compulsion. Harry Carter should not be confused with silent screen actor Harry Carter who played General von Kluck in The Kaiser: The Beast of Berlin.
