After attending Hofstra University, New York-born Robert Davi studied at the Actors Studio, then commenced a career portraying stone-faced antagonists. Davi worked on the New York stage and in regional repertory before making his feature film bow in 1984's City Heat. Among the earliest of Davi's attention-getting film roles was as villainess Anne Ramsey's brutish son in Goonies (1985). Davi's showiest movie assignment was as the ecologically incorrect villain in the 1989 James Bond flick License to Kill (1989).
