- Was trained since age 7 in Kathak dance by the renowned virtuoso Guru Kishen Maharaj.
- Used to practice Kathak dance for 10-12 hours every day and performed in professional conferences by the age of 12.
- Made her acting debut as a child artist in the Bhojpuri movie Bhaiya (1961) when she was just 12 years old.
- Worked with an actual Bengal Tiger in the film Chhaila Baabu (1977).
- Appeared mainly in Hindi and Bhojpuri films in the 1970s and 1980s.
- Had played a village girl in many films and has danced in over 500 films.
- Has acted in Bhojpuri, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, and Telugu language films.
- Directed the Bhojpuri film Nahir Hutal Jaya (2004).
- Founded the Indianica Dance Academy in New Jersey, USA.
