Synopsis

This boring drama with a few comedic touches finds Charlie (Albert Finney) as a successful man bored with his life. He is estranged from his wife Lottie (Billy Whitelaw) and sets his sights on his pretty young secretary Eliza (Liza Minnelli). Charlie spends his boredom drinking with his buddy Smokey (Colin Blakely). Whitelaw won a BFA award for Best Supporting Actress in this tedious film. This feature marks Albert Finney's directorial debut.
