- Grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and Highland Park, Illinois.
- Made her film debut playing a kidnapped young newspaper heiress in the 1975 thriller Abduction.
- First joined Oregon Shakespeare Festival acting company in their 1997 season, playing Elena Guarneri in the world premiere of The Magic Fire, and went on to be a member for 16 years.
- Some of the theatres she worked with include Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, PlayMakers Repertory Company, Yale Repertory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre and Los Angeles Shakespeare Festival, among others.
