Bio

French actress Miou-Miou has successfully pulled off the considerable trick of combining intoxicating sensuality with down-to-earth humor. After spending the better part of her childhood helping her greengrocer mother, Miou-Miou took on a few more rent-paying jobs before joining nightclub comic Coluche and improv actor Patrick Dewaere in a coffee-theatre revue troupe. In 1971, she launched her movie career with La Cavale. Miou-Miou's most fondly regarded screen appearances have included her supporting appearance as a street gang moll in Going Places (1974), her star turn in director Diane Kurys' Entre Nouse (1983), and her adroit portrayal of a sexy "professional reader" in La Lectrice (1988). In 1997, she earned additional raves for her part in the acclaimed Nettoyage à Sec (Dry Cleaning).
