- Was born in a business class Punjabi family in Madhya Pradesh, India.
- Used to order brochures of international music and film schools and dreamed of joining one while he was still studying commerce in Pune.
- Graduated from Subash Ghai's Whistling Woods International Institute for Film although his father wanted him to assist with the family business.
- Was offered Indian Rupees 200 for standing in the crowd to watch the shooting of the film Golmaal (2006).
- Made his motion picture debut opposite Gul Panang, Isha Koppikar and Celina Jaitly in Ashok Ghai's farce Hello Darling (2010).
- Starred in the short film Living Idle that won many awards at the Champal Film Festival and the Sweden Film Festival.
- Two of his short films, Fakr Hai and Jihad Hai, crossed over 35 million views on youtube.
- Is adept in playing the flute.
