Carey was born Timothy Carey Agoglia. A heavy-eyed American character actor, he often plays loathsome or repulsive villains. He appeared in two early films by Stanley Kubrick, The Killing (1956) and Paths of Glory (1957). Carey has appeared onscreen from the early '50s.
