Frank McHugh, with his catchy, high pitched laugh and his look of perpetual surprise, was a character actor who appeared in over 150 feature films since 1930. He was born Francis Curray McHugh in Homestead, Pennsylvania where he made his stage debut in his parents' stock company when he was 10 years old. He then became a vaudevillian and Broadway stage actor before joining Warner Brothers studios. He often played his parts with an Irish accent.
