Born Lois Hooker. Canadian-born lead actress, onscreen in a handful of Hollywood films in the late '40s; in the early '50s she appeared in several Italian films, then settled in England and went on to a sporadic but long-lived career onscreen, often playing leads in minor films. She is best known for playing Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond series of films.
