George Zucco made his professional acting debut in Canada in 1908 and appeared in American vaudeville, in stock, and on the London and Broadway stage. He began appearing in films in the early '30s, but did not begin his screen career in earnest until moving to Hollywood in 1936. He remained a busy film actor for the next 15 years, often playing master criminals, mad scientists, and other archvillains.
