Was awaiting her Board exam results when she was offered the heroine's role in Mahesh Bhatt's Papa Kahte Hain (1996) which was to be a telefilm but was later made into a film.
Was engaged to choreographer director Bobby Khan in 1996, who had later married the Bollywood singer Sunidhi Chauhan.
Had been selected for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, but preferred being an actress considering that getting a Degree of Arts is easier.
Completed her bachelor's degree from home.
Completed her MBA in marketing and finance and worked in the US from 2004 till 2012.
