A big, tough character actor with a broken nose, McGraw appeared onscreen from the early '40s. One of the all-time-great screen tough guys, he began as a radio and stage actor. He later did much TV work; in the '50s he starred in the series The Falcon and Casablanca, and in the '70s he costarred in the series The Smith Family.
