- Was introduced by renowned Bollywood composer Jaikishan to filmmaker Keval Kayshap who cast him in his first major film Shaheed (1965).
- Had invited Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna to his birthday party where the superstar had decided to marry actress Dimple Kapadia on the same day.
