- Began her career by modeling in Paris and New York.
- Following a brief stint as a model and VJ, she made her acting debut on the T.V. series Isi Bahane (1988) which aired on the national TV channel Doordarshan.
- Acted in a flavoured condom advertisement in 1991.
- Posed nude in the short movie The Cloud Door (1995).
- Following her clean break from acting, she travelled around the world for two years and settled in an ashram in Uttarakhand, India to learn yoga during 1997.
- Was rechristened as Anandapriya by her Guru Swamiglee who initiated her into tantric lovemaking.
- Practiced yoga at the Bihar school of yoga in Munger, Bihar.
- Met with a fatal accident during 1999 in Mumbai while returning from a party on a rainy night when her Mercedes car ran off the road and flipped and smashed into a sand dune.
