Costarring and supporting actor of Hollywood films, onscreen from 1952. He frequently appeared in Westerns, and was often cast as somewhat unintelligent types ranging from Southern "good ol' boys" to villains. He costarred in the '70s TV series Police Woman. His film work was infrequent after the early '70s.
