Charles Sturridge is best known for his television directorial efforts, most notably the series Coronation Street from the early '70s and the distinguished 11-part series Brideshead Revisited that ran between 1981 and 1983. Sturridge also directed a couple of films, including Where Angels Fear to Tread (1991).
