He landed recurring roles on Push and the teen soap opera Dawson's Creek. He parlayed the success into a starring role as Max Evans on the teen sci-fi series Roswell. His film career includes appearances in films as diverse as The Shipping News and the horror film The Grudge. He also appeared in the New Zealand horror film The Tattooist. Behr returned to TV with a recurring role on A&E's Breakout Kings in 2012.
