Born Stefan Gyergyay, Steven Geray established himself as an actor with the Hungarian National Theater then appeared in over 40 European films including several British productions. In 1941 he moved to Hollywood and appeared in over 100 films over the next two-plus decades. He often played quietly menacing foreigners or mild-mannered little men.
