American actress Dorothy Revier, born Doris Velegra, was a leading lady in Hollywood films of the '20s and '30s. She began her show business career as a cabaret dancer; she made her film debut in The Broadway Madonna (1922), which was directed by her husband, Harry Revier. She was frequently cast as a blond vamp or a femme fatale in many second-string melodramas. At the end of her career in the early '30s, Revier was relegated to playing in Buck Jones Westerns.
