At age 11 she debuted onstage as Enzio Panza's daughter in Broadway's South Pacific, then went on to appear in a number of major stage productions. She debuted onscreen in 1959, playing exotic beauties. She married and divorced actor Doug McClure, than married actor Alan Arkin, with whom she appeared in Fire Sale (1977), which he directed; she also wrote the screenplay for his film Chu Chu and the Philly Flash (1981).
