At the young age of thirty-two, ordinary family man and practicing lawyer Ady Barkan received the unexpected and life-altering diagnosis of ALS. Yet as he navigated the trials associated with the decline in his physical capabilities, Barkan also faced significant barriers to obtaining effective and affordable healthcare.
