Malpractice lawyer Beth Garrett (Stephanie Zimbalist) takes on a new client, nurse Ellen Robertson (Gabrielle Carteris), who assisted during an apparently botched surgery that left a young patient dead. But Beth's husband, Dr. Ken Garrett (Markus Flanagan), was one of the surgeons who performed that operation, and it soon becomes apparent that Ellen's choice of lawyer was by no means coincidental. Complications pile up as Beth attempts to determine what really happened in that operating room.
