Stanley (Don Johnson) is the wayward college youth trying to find himself through experiments with sex and drugs. He moves in on Cathy (Dianne Hull) and uses her roommate Fran (Holly Near) as an actress in his experimental film. Andrea (Victoria Racimo) and Shayne/Barbara (Linda Gillin) have a three week menage-a-trois and take LSD with Stanely. He rebukes the sexual advances and money offered by a man in a cafe (Brandon Maggart). Soon Stanely believes he has had enough and begins to think that his life should have more meaning. This marks the film debut for Johnson, who would become popular in the 1980s television series "Miami Vice." Holly Near by far gives the best performance in the film. Music is provided by Eric Burdon &War, Crow, Richie Havens, and Angeline Butler.
