Synopsis

Cadets at a military school dream of becoming part of the fighting force during World War II. They face more threatening obstacles within their own group than any dangers from the invading Nazis. The boys hide out in an abandoned country school while lamenting about their lack of battle action. A young German Jewish boy joins their ranks, but he is cruelly treated and ends up being shot and killed. The group soon turns intolerant, violent, homophobic and cannibalistic in this grim drama that illustrates the enemy often comes from within.
