Lawrence Ah Mon directs this crime thriller action flick about an honest cop in a corrupt world. When he runs afoul of his crooked superiors by arresting the wrong person, Sergeant Lam Kung (Charles Heung) finds himself beating the streets in the juvenile crime unit where he gets paired up with Teddy Pak (Leslie Cheung). In spite of his demotion and in spite of initial static between him and his new partner, Lam continues to infuriate his higher-ups by arresting the drug-running sons of prominent Hong Kong officials. Meanwhile, Teddy is struggling to keep his dissolute, debt-ridden mother from getting whacked by loan sharks. As the film progresses, the sociopathic juvy dope dealer Sam Chow who is being protected by his rich parents emerges as the archenemy of both Lam and Teddy. When Teddy's girlfriend (Vivian Chow) is attacked, resulting in the death of another girl, Lam resolves to save him. Future Hong Kong directing wunderkind Fruit Chan plays a bit part in this pic.
