Synopsis
Queen Zenobia of Palymra (Anita Ekberg) is out to claim independence from Roman rule. She orders her army to march against the Romans. General Marcus Valerius (George Marshall) pretends to hate Rome and allows himself to be taken prisoner. The Queen falls for the General and they become lovers. When the Romans win and the Queen is taken prisoner, the love-stuck General pleads for her to be spared.
