Jesse Wilson is a troubled teenager who is not able to get over her brother's suicide. Jesse arives at Veronika Guest's place, a long forgotten pullitzer award winning writer and agrees to tutor a young boy Tommy for extra school credits. She gets distracted from her anxiety when Tommy says he has not stepped out of the house for more then fifty years as he felt he was a product of fiction.
