Joe Pearson's animated take on the follow-up events from the classic H.G. Wells story The War of the Worlds details how humankind spent the first 15 years of the 20th century rebuilding after the failed Martian invasion of 1899. Among the developments is a new weapon modified from the technology the enemy had used so effectively on them. They are forced to employ that device, known as the Goliath, when a new wave of aliens attack Earth, this time armed with even more advanced weapons themselves.
