An overly protective spinster provides the basis for this melodrama. She and her family live in a stony Fifth Avenue mansion. She is very jealous of her family and refuses to let anyone take them away. When her brother gets married, the spinster immediately begins trying to drive his bride insane. It doesn't work. Next she seals the bride away in a vault. Her husband saves her. The spinster kills herself.
