This slickly produced family adventure concerns Tom (Robert Cavanah), the son of a famous Scottish archaeologist, who ventures to India to protect ancient temples from looting and to find his boyhood honey Anju (Tabu). Tom quickly discovers that his beloved is soon-to-be-betrothed to a sneering, wealthy politician who is secretly aligned with a hoard of looters. Though the utterly guileless Tom runs afoul of area notables, including a Frenchwoman on an archeological dig, he does befriend a hermit (who is also committed to maintaining India's treasures) and a pack of monkeys. Soon Tom and the monkeys band together to thwart the evil schemings of the dastardly villains.
