Synopsis

Sammo Hung stars in this screwball period horror flick directed by Wu Ma. The film opens with Ma Lucho (Wu Ma) being found dead, supposedly of natural causes. His ever faithful friend Fatboy (Hung) skeptical of the assessment, even more so when he learns that the impotent man's wife Yuen (Cherie Chung Cho-hung) is pregnant. Deciding to investigate the matter for himself, he vows to undertake an unofficial autopsy on his dead friend. Unfortunately, his friend isn't really dead yet. Hoping to cash in the reportedly priceless antiques willed to him by his father, Lucho fakes his own death. As Fatboy approaches the would-be corpse with a pair of very large cleavers, he is interrupted by priest (Chung Fat) who convinces him to abandon his scheme. Later, Lucho learns not only is his inherence worthless, but that his wife stands to inherent a fortune if she produces a son. Suddenly Lucho is worth more dead than alive, and soon ends up so -- thanks to the treacherous hand of the priest. Lucho's ghost soon comes back to haunt his killers, taking possession of Fatboy's body.
