In this convoluted film, a family of hillbillies find their lives aboard a riverboat disrupted by a fugitive carnival worker. While there, she falls in love with the son. However, the son loves another -- a moonshiner's daughter. Unfortunately, the riverboat people and the 'shiners have been feuding for years.
