This film tells three stories of three periods in Cuban history, each featuring a heroine named Lucia. Lucia #1 becomes involved in the war against Spain. Lucia #2 aids in overthrowing the corrupt Cuban dictator. Our third Lucia finally stands up to her particular oppressor: her loutish husband.
