Bio

Brunette leading lady Wanda McKay made a very brief film appearance in 1934, but it wasn't until 1939 that she was put under contract to Paramount. After two years of thankless bit parts, McKay began free-lancing at such lower-rung studios as Monogram and PRC, which didn't afford much in the way of prestige, but did permit her to play leading roles. During the 1940s, she appeared opposite such diverse screen personalities as John Beal, Bela Lugosi, George Zucco and the Bowery Boys. Wanda McKay's last appearance was a minor part in Columbia's Woman of Distinction (1950).
