Comedian/actor/ventriloquist Wayland Flowers is best known as the man behind hilariously earthy, old Madame, a dummy with a razor-sharp tongue and acid wit. He and Madame first gained popularity on the lounge circuit. They then began making appearances on 1960s television variety shows, including Laugh-In. Flowers and Madame also regularly appeared for a while on a later version of Hollywood Squares before getting their own short-lived television show Madame's Place. The two also appeared in on film Norman... Is That You? in 1976.
