Loosely based on "The Count of Monte Cristo," this series is the story of Gabriela Suárez, the only woman who works in the gold mine in her small town. A single mother who rebels against all kinds of abuse, she proves to be woman of great strength whose life leads her to endure a series of calamities. Gabriela undergoes the greatest of transformations, both physically and emotionally, to return in a quest for revenge and redemption.
