Synopsis

A famous clown named Dodo Delwyn (Red Skelton) is now down on his luck. Because of his drinking, he's forced to play cheap burlesque shows. His son Dink (Tim Considine) believes in his father and tries to help Dodo's old agent, Goldie (Loring Smith), get him a good gig, but the attempt is unsuccessful. Dink is sent to live with his mother, Paula (Jane Greer), who has remarried -- but, when the boy returns, Dodo is inspired to give show business one more shot.
