Synopsis
Brand new drama series set in 1961, following a group of doctors at a London hospital. Abortion is still illegal and the contraceptive pill has only just become available. Charismatic surgeon Otto Powell presides over a busy gynaecological ward. At home, he and his wife Elizabeth appear to be the perfect couple. At the hospital Otto notices a new nurse, Angela Wilson, who makes a striking impression. Meanwhile Otto's deputy, Richard Truscott, is set to marry stunning nurse Jean Meecher.
