This live-action children's adventure series took place in the present, albeit in a parallel-universe earth. Upon discovering that he is actually the Prince of Galidor, "typical" American teenager Nicholas Bluetooth (Matthew Ewald) was dispatched on a mission to locate his native land, and to protect it against the excesses of the evil Gor. For this purpose, Nicholas was teamed with another teenager named Allegra Zane (Marie M. Sabongui) and a trio of computer-generated extraterrestrials: the amphibian Euripides, the Ice World denizen Nepol, and the shaman-like King of Galidor. Filmed in Montréal, with special effects provided by Cinegroupe, Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension was created by Tom Lynch. The series premiered over the United States' Fox Network and Canada's YTV during the first week of February 2002.
