Synopsis

In this offbeat and fascinating British biblical drama set during the trials of Christ, a Jew demands the release of Barabbas and that Jesus be crucified. Later the angry Yaweh lays a curse upon the man's head and gives him eternal life as a ceaseless wanderer. The story chronicles some of the Jew's many journeys throughout the world over 13 centuries. During the Spanish Inquisition, the Jew finally embraces Christianity and Jesus sets him free to his eternal rest.
