Pro wrestling legend Steve Austin hosts this competition series in which 12 contestants from the southern U.S. -- including a couple of professional wrestlers, a good-hearted truck driver who is terrified of tornadoes and an EMT who used to be in the Navy -- are taken out of the South and dropped off in a tropical paradise. From a remote location, Austin guides the contestants, who compete as teams, through mental and physical challenges that are designed to highlight the group's strengths and limitations. One competitor is sent packing by his or her teammates at the end of each episode. The contestant left standing at the end of the season wins the $100,000 grand prize ... and can perhaps call himself or herself the ultimate redneck.
