The seventh and final season of "Benson" opens with Benson foiling an armed robbery. Benson tries to bring the governor and his brother together after a decades-long estrangement; Benson and Karaus are accused of spying while on an official trip to Germany; and Benson and Clayton find themselves forced to spend an $8 million surplus in a matter of hours. When their helicopter crash-lands in the desert, Benson, the governor and Clayton struggle for survival; an actor tries to film a movie in the governor's mansion; Benson and the governor find themselves running against each other for the state's top job.
